Costumes are Ready!

Yeah, I'm so excited that our Halloween costumes are finally ready. I've been thinking about them for a long time. It's a big event, Boston's first Halloween. And we're going to be in Disneyland, so I had to make it good. Boston is Peter Pan, I am Tinkerbell, and Zariph is Captain Hook. My mom helped A LOT with getting these costumes ready. She totally made Boston's costume - isn't he cute? And helped alter mine so it was modest. I was glad to find a shirt that matched the costume perfectly that I could wear under it. It's a Downeast Basics shirt from Seagull, by the way that is a FUN store! I bought a couple of skirts there also. Also, last Wednesday was my grandma's birthday. Boston and I went to visit her, along with my mom, Eliza, Hannah, and my Aunt Eula and Uncle Larry. I made this little family chipboard project for her. I was so glad to have something on hand that was pretty easy to put together - that's one good thing about going to the Scrapbook Expo and buying everything! It was a fun afternoon and it was good to visit with family.

Pulling Faces

I went over to my mom's for dinner on Sunday night. My little 16 month old niece was pulling the funniest faces, she was making us all laugh. Her mom would tell her to make a "surprised face"

a "mad face"

another "surprised face"

She had other faces too, it was hilarius.

Here's Boston's "happy face"

and "sleepy face".

Fat Cats

Zariph's sister, Misty, was up visiting for the weekend. So Saturday night we took two of her girls to Fat Cats to play the arcade games. We had a fun time. Our favorite game to play was Deal or No Deal. Saphire won 101 tickets in one round! My big jackpot was 45. I picked out these cute slinky glasses for Boston with all of my tickets.

Las Vegas

Zariph and I were wanting to go somewhere over the weekend, and we decided Las Vegas has lots of fun things to do, and it's not that far to drive. So, a couple of hours later we had our bags packed and were on the road. I've never been to Las Vegas over conference weekend before, they actually had conference on tv. We stayed at a really nice place Friday and Saturday nights, it's called the Jockey Club, it's right next to the Bellagio. The picture of the strip was taken from our room window. The hotel was also nice because it had a kitchen, dining room, and living room, seperate from the bedroom. And it had all been remodeled recently with nice cabinets and furniture, etc. I loved being right on the strip. The fountains at the Bellagio are probably my favorite thing to do in Las Vegas. And we could see them from our room. It sprinkled on us just a little, but the weather was really nice overall. Then Sunday night we stayed at a hotel on Fremont Street. It wasn't as nice, but it was okay. It was nice to be right on Freemont Street, because we could walk out of the hotel and see "The Fremont Street Experience". Boston loved to look at all the lights. It was a quick trip, but it was worth it. It was nice to just get away and just be the three of us for three days straight.

Boston

Boston was tagged by Tia...thanks Tiff!
Five things you may or may not know about Boston...

1 - Probaby everyone reading this knows that he was adopted. We waited a long time, then found out about five weeks before he came that we were getting a baby. Oh, that was exciting!

2 - He's the cutest little boy!

3 - He laughs at everything, and likes just about everything.

4 - He's been sleeping a good 12 hours everynight since he was about 2 months old.

5 - We get to have him sealed to us on November 15!
Zariph's new thing with Boston is to sway him back and forth and say "Tick, tock, I'm a clock." Then of course Boston laughs like crazy. And I kept forgetting to put this picture on of Boston and Hayden.
I haven't been following all the tags, so I'm not sure if they were tagged by someone else, but we tag...
